You've bought over 80 copies of You Are Beautiful. A Prompt Journal! I can't tell you how humbled and grateful I am. Thank you for sharing this work with the people you love and getting the word out.
I've gotten to know a lot of you through this process and it's been such an honor... so, I guess it's time I come clean about something... I've been (mostly secretly) working on a business idea called Appreciate U for a couple years now. The mission is to help people decrease negative self-talk and increase thoughts of empowerment, happiness, and self-worth. The idea is that when we treat ourselves better, with kindness and compassion, we project that into the world. This creates a ripple effect that unites us in dignity and respect. Lofty goals, I know.
Although I didn't know what shape Appreciate U would take, (and still don't, completely) I have a mission and a vision. This took me down several avenues including pitching an idea to about 100 investors. But my lack of experience and "skin-in-the-game" left me wanting.
After many "failed attempts" and TONS of learning, I'm finally catching some traction with "You Are Beautiful." Although this isn't the end goal, you've given me so much confidence to move forward. I know it's not perfect, and neither am I, but you've all given me the grace to put myself out there and let me be authentically me. For that, I owe you the world.
With a lot of vulnerability and humility, I invite you to go to my website and sign up at the Appreciate U website.
Honestly, I don't email a lot but it will help you stay informed about Appreciate U and hopefully provide you with tips to stay on top of your self-love game.
Sincerely, T H A N K Y O U . All the love, Maija
Beautifully Ambiguous Audience
I've researched business tactics. I know I'm supposed to hone in on ONE age group, ONE gender, ONE type of person. But I believe EVERYONE can benefit from self-love and self-resepect. When I started Appreciate U, I wanted it to be for anyone who wanted guidance and easy, practical help. So receving messages from men, women and non-binary from every age group, from young teenagers to people in their 70s benefitting from this journal... I am moved. It means the WORLD to me. Thank you using this journal. Thank you for sending me your prompts. I'm so proud of you.
I'm sending you ALL the love.
