How to Respect Yourself


We all want to show ourselves more love and respect. That’s why you’re here, right? Well, the easiest way to do that may seem like a no-brainer but it’s worth remembering. If you do these 3 simple things, your confidence and self-worth will skyrocket. It's all about honoring the amazing vessel that carries you through this journey called life.

1. When you feel tired, REST. Your body rejuvenates and repairs itself during those precious hours of sleep and relaxation, so make it a priority to get enough of it. When we push through exhaustion, our immune system becomes compromised and we run the risk of getting sick. Instead, listen to your body. When we allow ourselves the rest we need, we make better decisions, we are kinder to ourselves and to others, and we are healthier.

2. When you are hungry, EAT. Nourish your body. Treat yourself to fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains. These foods are often an overlooked luxury. Your body craves healthy food. By fueling it properly, These foods not only make you feel good, but they also respect your body's needs and keep you energized and clear headed throughout the day. If you’re a health food newbie, try to incorporate spinach, beans, kale, oregano and other superfoods into the recipes you already cook. Your body’s response to these nutrients will have a huge affect over time and eventually you’ll crave superfoods.



3. When in doubt, MOVE. Our bodies crave movement! Find activities that make you feel alive and invigorated. When it comes to workout plans, it all works, you only need to find what works for you. Whether it's a brisk walk in nature, a stationary bike ride, or lifting something heavy, move your body in a way that brings you joy.

So here they are, my lovely friend. The top 3, super simple ways to increase your self-love and self-respect. When you're tired, rest. When you’re hungry, eat. When in doubt, move. Everytime you listen and honor your body, pat yourself on the back. Appreciate your ability to treat yourself with kindness. Even if you do these 3 simple steps you’ll be way ahead of the curve.
